I hope your week has been a good one and that you are looking forward to the weekend. We have a new challenge for you over at Just Magnolia. This week's challenge is one of my favorites Distressing. So loved doing this challenge and you should see the rest of the teams work just so gorgeous.
I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have distressed my background and papers with old paper and frayed burlap. I have also sprayed glimmer mist onto my card oh I just love this gorgeous effect here is a close up so you can see the fabulous glimmer.
I have added frayed burlap to my flowers and heart. I have also distressed my grungeboard hinge using distress embossing powder. The leaves have been punched out using my new Martha Stewart punch on I love my new purchase might have to be getting some more of these. What a lovely card, Kim!!! I just love this kind of vintage finish ( as you know :0). You are so good putting the right colors together! I bought my first bottle of glimmermist yesterday - see I pick up a thing or two from you :-) I really look forward trying it. You are so clever using glimmer and glittering stuff on your cards!

Hi Sweetheart... Long time no chat (naughty me) So many gorgeous cards since my last visit. This one is beautiful! Love all the distressing and the glimmer looks amazing.
So sorry I couldn't come an see you on your demo day. I was working most of that weekend. Chris filled me in an all the details though ;o) you're going to start thinking we are the same person in disguise soon....never in the same place at the same time... tee hee.

Utterly gorgeous Kim, I have done a little maggie, with inks am yet to distress her, not getting her skin quite right she still liooks like shes had a wallop.... what colours do you use, I used tattered rose! Shirley said you used two different ones, and one ws a greeny colour!!

Oh Kim, this is just beautiful! I love how you distressed your paper and embellishments! I've now purchased a number of distress inks and looked at several tutorials on Tim Holz's site and I'm excited to give this a try.
