To Whiff of Joy with love........................

Hello,

This is my last day of being Guest Designer for Whiff Of Joy.  I would like to say a big thank you to Katharina and the rest of the design team for such a warm welcome and wonderful support to me whilst I have been on the Whiff Of Joy team. It has been such an exciting experience and one that I will keep with me always. Congratulations to Jeanette for being made a permanent member of the team your creations are stunning.  I have loved being with Jeanette and Jorunn during the March/April Guest Design spot on the team thank you girls for your sweet and kind  encouragement during this time. 

I would like to take this opportunity of wishing the May/June Guest Designers Malin, Lacey,  and Tara  many congratulations on their Guest Designer spots and every success in their roles. 

I have made my last card for April using the same image that I used when entering the Guest Designer spot. I have coloured her with distress inks. I have distressed the background and papers with tattered rose. I have also added some stickles to add some sparkle.  The quickutz die cut leaves I have sprayed with glimmer mist.

Magnolia.......................

Hello,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. My daughter has bought a pink heart which is made out of metal and has lots of areas to hang thinks on for the baby. She asked me to make some cute things to hang onto it. So I have made this little wall hanging. I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have distressed the background and papers with tattered rose. I have glimmer misted the flowers. I have also added stickles to the tiny rosebuds.  I hope she likes it.

Colour Create - week 13..........

Oh it is such a glorious morning here hope you too are enjoying this beautiful spring sunshine. We are at week 13 over at Colour Create. This week it is Jo's turn to choose our colours they are green, orange and brown with the option of making a man's card. Jo makes the most wonderful cards so do go and visit her you won't be disappointed. For my card I have used distress inks. I have brayered my background with antique linen. Then using blending foam have added the colours spiced marmalade, peeled paint and vintage photo. I also distressed the edges with tim's distressing tool. I have stamped my image with vintage photo. Do go and visit the rest of the design teams creations they are just fabulousloso!

Whiff of Joy - GDT card

Hello,

Hope everyone is ok. I have made a card today using the Whiff of Joy new Guardian Angel spring release image Melinda with Bouquet. I received the inspiration to make this card from a sweet, lovely lady I have met here in blogland. Her name is Vanessa. She sent me an awesome box full of the most beautiful flowers in so many colours as a wonderful gesture of friendship. Vanessa makes the most beautiful cards so please go and visit her lovely blog. Thank you Vanessa so much. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to receive them and I immediately thought of making this card. Don't they go beautifully with the paper by prima and I think they suit my image so well. I have coloured Melinda with distress inks. I have distressed the background with tattered rose. Then stamped swirls with antique linen. I have distressed the flowers with worn lipstick and also added some stickles to them and the tulle. 

I have also been sent this award from the lovely Karen.

It really warms my heart that through my blog I am meeting the most wonderful, sweet, kindhearted people on this planet. So thank you girls so much for thinking of me.

Just Magnolia week 2

Hello,

Sorry I haven't been posting too much this week. But, with the imminent arrival of my Granddaughter and me being my daughters birthing partner I have had so much to prepare. Seeing midwife, having to get everything in readiness for the home birth. So, my posting might be a bit erratic in the next week or so. 

I can't tell you how thrilled we all are at Just Magnolia for the wonderful support we received from all of you and your amazing creations! Wow, you are so talented I have so loved visiting you and being blown away by your fantastic, beautiful cards. For this week the challenge is to make a card using the colours Pink and Green and using a Magnolia image on your card. I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have distressed my papers with tattered rose and the small flowers with worn lipstick.

Colour Create Challenge # 12

We are on our twelfth week already at Colour Create this year is going so fast! This week the fabulously talented Chris has chosen our colour combo and also is giving away to one lucky winner not one but two digi downloads from her amazing creations from her digi range! The colours for this weeks challenge are Black, White and Pink with the added option of polka dots. I have coloured my card with distress inks. I have distressed the background with tattered rose and fired brick. Just Magnolia Challenge # 1............................

Well I am so excited as I am now able to post my first card for the brand new challenge over at Just Magnolia!  For our first challenge we have a gorgeous sketch by the one and only fabulous Donalda. Thank you Donalda I loved using your sketch and will definitely use this again. Also, we have the most awesome prize to celebrate the beginning of the first Just Magnolia challenge! 

So without further ado my image has been coloured with distress inks. I have distressed the background and papers with weathered wood and broken china. I have die cut using quickutz my flowers. Distressed them with weathered wood and glimmer misted them. My hearts are die cut using cuttlebug. Distressed and I have stamped dots onto the smaller heart. I have also used stickles on my card to give a bit of sparkle.

Whiff of Joy.........................

Well Spring certainly looks like it is picking up pace. I love seeing the trees coming into leaf and the Spring flowers. I have made a card today with Whiff of Joy Musing Melinda. I have coloured her with distress inks. I then masked Melinda and added the clouds in the background. I distressed my paper with pink lipstick and broken china. I added stickles to different elements of my card to give a bit of depth. I 3d my heart above the image.

I have also received some awards from the loveliest ladies!

Whiff of Joy.........................

Hello,

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend. I had a wonderful time with my family and then Monday happened. Came downstairs switched on computer. Then disaster struck! A virus had infected my computer after paying a fortune on protection and I lost everything on my computer! I mean everything!!! Well, I was beside myself, no blogging, every single precious family photo gone, all my CS2 software, windows gone. So after raging, crying beside myself in despair Kim. My neighbour gave me the number of the one and only Dave! He is now officially my knight in shining armour. He hotfooted round to make my computer better. He got it started, cleaned it completely and then he took my external hardrive that I had backed up my whole computer onto. (Which I didn't know how to work). He then gradually put everything back. Oh my lord I love Dave! So whatever you do everyone back up everything. Eventually at midnight last night all was restored and well with the world.

So I have now been able to make and put my Whiff of Joy card onto my blog. This is Rogue Charlotte and I have coloured her with distress inks. The background I have distressed with old paper and edged with vintage photo. I die cut the flowers using quickutz and then distressed with pine needles and sprayed with glimmer mist. I have edged my card and flowers with krylon pen.

Colour Create #11

Good Morning,

A very Happy Easter!

This week on the Colour Create challenge we have been set the colours Brown, Beige and Cream by Tab. The added option is to distress but not compulsory. I have coloured my card with distress inks I have distressed my papers with vintage photo. I have just noticed that I have used the same flowers as my previous card oopsy doodle. But, they did fit this colour scheme sorry. The crocheted flower is one that the fabulous Bev sent me I have been hording it but couldn't resist using it today thanks Bev!

Whiff of Joy........................

I have made a card with one of the new Medieval collection just released by Whiff of Joy. This is Knight Charlie and I think he is so cute. I have coloured him with distress inks. I have distressed the background and my paper with vintage photo. To add some shimmer to my card I have used perfect pearls for all my stamping on the rest of my card.

I have made a card today with two of the Whiff of Joy images from the Medieval range to be released this weekend! I have coloured my images with distress inks but also adding some perfect pearls to give a shimmer on the gold throne, sceptre, crown and bodice and hem of the dress. I have edged my paper edges with vintage photo. I added stickles to the roses.

Whiff of Joy - Medieval Collection........

I have made a card today using one of the new Whiff of Joy Medieval collection by Alison Acton to be released this weekend! I have coloured my image with distress inks. For the background and paper I have distressed with antique linen and weathered wood. I have put stickles around the frame of the image and the sentiment, also on the paper swirls. The heart I have distressed with vintage photo and sprayed with silver glimmer mist. I have put some metallic crackle paint onto the grungeboard swirl.

Whiff of Joy Matthew...............

Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter period. I have made a card using Whiff of Joy Confirmand Matthew. I love his beautiful face it gets me every time. I have coloured him with distress inks. I have then distressed the background with brushed cordroy and sprayed some gold glimmer mist to give him a shimmer. I have distressed the papers with brushed cordroy too and the flowers and sentiment I have also sprayed with gold glimmer mist.

Whiff of Joy Summer stamp kit..................

Great news! The Whiff of Joy Summer Stamp Kit pre-order date starts on Monday the 13th of April and will be open until Monday the 4th of May. Kits to be sent out on Monday the 18th of May. The kit contains 6 beautiful Elisabeth Bell characters and 5 accessory stamps. Also there are 4 text stamps designed by Katharina. I don't need to tell you they are just fabulous!

Creative Card Crew Challenge......................

I was delighted and honoured to be asked to be guest designer this week for the Creative Card Crew Challenge. The theme this week is Easter. I have coloured my image with Distress inks and then distressed my background and paper with spiced marmalade. I masked my Tilda and added the magnolia tulips. Colour Create Challenge # 10

Another beautiful day here in Sussex. This week over at Colour Create we have a colour combination of Duck egg blue and Rose with the option but not compulsory of adding stitching real or faux by the lovely Judy. I have just loved these colours Judy so thank you so much. My image has been coloured with distress inks. I have distressed everything with a touch of vintage photo. My border is punched using fiskars. I have made my flowers with a quickutz die the same with the leaves. I have stamped my sentiment with versafine grey.

For the background I have distressed this with tattered rose. I have added some star dust stickles to add some shimmer. I have stamped my swirls out in versafine grey. Whiff of Joy - Project of the Month.............

Hello,

Hope you too are like me a waking to a beautiful spring day! This month the project for Whiff of Joy is to make an Easter Gift. This is my GDT entry. I have made a chocolate egg box full of scrummy chocolates. I bought a very inexpensive box from Hobbycraft. I then covered this with papers by Magenta and distressed them with broken china. The images I coloured with distress inks and added stickles to give them some sparkle.
