Just Magnolia Challenge....................

Hello,

Nearly at the weekend and the weather is looking good!

Today is another challege for Just Magnolia. This week the theme is Animals and Insects.  The girls on the DT have made the most beautiful cards so do go and check them out you will be totally inspired. I have coloured my card with distress inks. The background is distressed with antique linen, weathered wood and vintage photo. I have added some stickles to add some sparkle and depth.

Splendid Tuesday..................

Hello,

I have made a card today using an image from the WOJ summer kit. I have coloured her with distress inks. I have distressed the background with shabby shutters and dried marigold. I have added some liquid pearls to the swirls. 

I was so happy as I won Vanessa's blog candy. How brilliant is that. Thank you so much Vanessa. Vanessa is just the sweetest girl and I love to visit her blog so then to win the candy was a real bonus.

Lets get in shape.............

How gorgeous is the day today! A real sunshine morning hope it is the same where you are and that it stays this way for the UK's Bank Holiday Weekend. 

This week at Just Magnolia we have been sponsored by The Cutting Cafe and they have a fabulous prize for this week's winner. I have chosen a heart shape I so enjoyed using this shape for my wall hanging project. Please go and check out the rest of the DT their shaped cards are just amazing.  I have coloured my image with distress inks and added some stickles for some sparkle. I have padded out my heart by layering some sticky fixers under the paper, which I have distressed with weathered wood. I have glimmer misted the flowers.

Happy Monday....................

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I had a lovely day yesterday lots of cuddles with my Grandchildren. I have made a card today using the new Whiff of Joy Summer collection.  I have coloured my images with distress inks. I masked Willow and stamped the orange tree next to her. I used my circle and scalloped edge nesties for my shape. I have distressed background and papers with vintage photo and spiced marmalade. I have glimmer misted my flowers.

Colour Create Challenge.................

First of all can I say a very heartfelt thank you to everyone for sending me such lovely comments wishing me well in my Magnolia DT position. I am so overwhelmed by your kindness and am so glad to have met you all. You are just the sweetest people on the planet and and I love visiting you on your wonderful blogs. Thank you!

Today is a new challenge at Colour Create and it is my turn this week to choose the colours for you all to play with. I really hope you like them. The CC team have made the most beautiful creations I am just bowled over by them so thank you girls you just rock! The colours are Sky Blue, Tan and Ecru. With the optional extra of Gloss, Glitter, Glaze.

For my card I have coloured my image with distress inks. The background I have distressed with weathered wood and antique linen. I have distressed my papers with antique linen. For the glimmer I have glimmer misted my flowers with old lace. To add some glitter I have added stickles to the flowers, grass and sentiment. I also added some liquid pearl to the swirl.

I have been given this award by the amazingly talented Ilonka. Thank you so much Ilonka this means so much to me and I am so happy that you thought of me.

 Just Magnolia. We have been given a sketch by the wonderful Naoual and it has been a pleasure to work with Naoual so thank you so much. 

I have coloured my image with distress inks. I just love that little cute puppy's face. I have distressed my background and papers with vintage photo. I have glimmer misted my flowers and quickutz leaves. I have cuttlebuged the vellum panels behind the image and added silver stickles to the embossed dots.

I am so sorry that I haven't posted very much lately. But, as you can imagine I am spending every free minute with Claire and baby Isabella.

Baby Pictures...........................

I am just posting two pictures of my two Princesses. First trip to Grandma's house I was over the moon. Isabella is two days old now. Claire and Isabella are doing beautifully.

Colour Create Challenge week 15

Hello,

It is week 15 of our Colour Create challenge and Heather has chosen our colours this week and they are Blue and Green with the optional extra of paper piecing. I loved working with these colours Heather so thank you for this challenge. I have coloured my image with distress inks and I have paper pieced her dress with basic grey paper. I have distressed my background and papers with weathered wood and pine needles. I have used the martha stewart punch for the two borders. The quickutzed leaves have been glimmer misted. My fellow team members have made the most incredible cards so do check them out.

It's a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am pleased to announce that my amazing daughter Claire gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl! 

I am just in awe of Claire she was totally magnificent! It is something that I will keep with me for the rest of my life to see my baby bring her baby daughter into the world with so much grace and beauty I will always be so eternally  grateful for. She is the most exceptional, beautiful young woman and I am so proud to call her my daughter. Baby Isabella is so lucky to have Claire for her mother. 

Thank you so much to everyone who has been thinking and asking about Claire she is so grateful to you all. I will post some pictures as soon as I have them of our little miracle.

I would also like to say a big thank you to the two incredible midwives who helped bring Isabella into the world. They were so wonderful and a big thankyou to Karen who looked after Claire through her pregnancy and supported Claire in her wish to have her home birth and was able to be with her and bring Isabella into the world.

Just Magnolia Challenge week 4.........................

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is good and looking forward to the weekend!

It is time for a new challenge at Just Magnolia we are on week 4 and the theme this week is In Stitches. I have hand stitched my background card around my image and faux stitched my spotty paper. I have coloured my image with distress inks and added some stickles for some sprinkly spronkly. I have distressed my background and paper with milled lavender, tattered rose and frayed burlap. It would be wonderful if you would join us as I just love visiting you all and seeing your wonderful creations. For inspiration do go and visit the other girls blogs on the design team as their cards are just to die for.

StampARTic challenge........................

Where is the week going. Can you believe we are on Wednesday already. Hope everyone is ok. I have made a card for the challenge over at StampARTic. It is to follow a sketch by the amazingly talented Pia. I loved your sketch so thank you Pia. I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have distressed my background and papers with antique linen, weathered wood and frayed burlap. I have added a grungeboard heart and wings which I crackle painted and then sprayed with glimmer mist. I quickutzed some grungepaper with my flower die to make my tiny flower on the sentiment and then distressed with weathered wood and glimmer misted this along with my other flowers.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and this gorgeous weather. This week at Colour Create. We have been set the colours by Mina. They are chocoloate, cream and red with the optional extra of ribbons. Thank you so much Mina as I loved these colours. I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have made my frame around the edge of my image with the embossing nesties die using the cuttlebug. I have distressed my background and papers with vintage photo. Just Magnolia week 3 Sketch for you......

Well we are nearly at the start of our Bank Holiday Weekend and the weather forecast man he say yes! So if you have any plans for this weekend I wish you a fabulous time!
This week at Just Magnolia we have a wonderful sketch by the one and only fabulously talented Bev! Thank you so much Bev this was a dream to work with and I will definitely use this again. I have coloured my image with distress inks. This was sent to me by the sweet and gorgeous Tab. (sending you big hugs Tab). I have distressed my papers with vintage photo. I have layered the middle panel, scalloped ovals and my image with sticky fixers to give it some height.
