Enjoying the Journey........

Hello,

Well the weather is just fantastic at the moment I am talking hot, hot, hot! If you are experiencing the same take care out there. Oh now is the time when I wish I had a pool.

I have made a card today using the images sent to me in my Magnolia dt kit. I have coloured them with distress inks. I then masked the car and sprayed my background with ivory lace glimmer mist. I have distressed the edge with fired brick and frayed burlap. I have also added some stickle glue. The butterfly I have 3d and also stickled it.

Just Magnolia Tutorial Challenge ...............

After much thought we have decided to split the challenges into three seperate blogs as it's going to get rather confusing trying to run the weekly and monthly challenges simuntaneously on one blog.

So, today we launch our second monthly challenge on the new blog which will be based around the challenges that our Featured Stampers do for us. Stunning Sunday.................

Hello,

Today I have made a card using one of the new Pet Collection images from Magnolia. I am in love with this kitty's sweet face. I have coloured my image with distress inks and masked my kitty onto the chair. I have distressed the background and papers with spiced marmalade.

The Wedding on Friday was just wonderful. To see two people so in love committing to each other gives me so much joy it was a day to be treasured. The weather was fantastic too phew!

Just Magnolia week 11.......

Well Summer is well and truly here how beautiful has this weather been. I have made a card for the start of a new challenge over at Just Magnolia. This week we have been given a fabulous sketch by the amazingly talented Bev! Thank you so much Bev this was a joy to work with and I definitely will be using it again.

I have coloured my image with distress inks. For the background I have used antique linen and frayed burlap. I have distressed my papers with frayed burlap also. I have stamped my image on watercolour paper and then die cut her using the circle nestie after cutting around her legs first to put the nestie behind them so I didn't cut them off.

The Magnolia flowers have been mounted on sticky fixers and coloured with tattered rose and covered in stickle glue. The border punch I used is fiskars.

I have been sent this award from sweet Penni. Thank you so much you are so kind to think of me I am so very happy to receive this.

Well, I am off to a family wedding today. I am so happy to be attending the union of two lovely young people and meeting all my family. Fingers crossed that thunder storm holds off for the photo's.

Marvellous Monday.......

I hope you are all well. I did not quite get the weather I was hoping for this weekend but we still got in a barbie on Sunday which was great. I have made another Magnolia dt card and I am in love with this little cutie. I have coloured my image with distress inks. The background and papers are distressed with tattered rose. I also used Tim's distressing tool around the edges of my card and paper. My lace was sent to me by my wonderful friend Vanessa thank you sweetie. The smaller heart is grungeboard and crackle paint and I have quickutzed the larger heart. The flower stems are also quickutz with stickles added.

Just Magnolia Challenge - Summer

Hello,

Today is the start of another challenge over at Just Magnolia. The theme for this week is Summer. I have coloured my image with distress inks. For the giraffe image I inked directly onto my stamp using different distress ink pads. I cut them out using nesties. I distressed the background and papers with weathered wood. The little flowers are quickutz. I have added some stickles for some sparkle. The paper and lace were my Magnolia dt kit.

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge.....

Hello,

Today we have our very first Monthly Challenge at Just Magnolia. The challenge for this month is to alter a container. This can be anything from a bag to a box which is what I have chosen to altered.

Here is my box I have covered it with PM paper and then distressed the paper with vintage photo.

My little image has been coloured with distress inks and die cut using my nesties then I added stickles around the edge.

This is the top of my box I have added feathers, flowers which I glimmer misted and some tulle. I then stuck on some pearl decoration and crafting floss and a heart charm from the sweet and ever so generous Bev (mwah Bev xxx).

I added lace and tulle around the box and then I have used the Magnolia heart lock on back.

The Next Level Challenge sketch...........

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. So happy the weather was gorgeous here it is just so lovely to be able to throw open those windows and enjoy the day.

Well, how delighted was I when Dawn asked me to be guest designer for this week's challenge at The Next Level. So it is with great pleasure that I have made my card for today. I have coloured my image with distress inks. Which I won in Hanne's blog candy giveaway. Thank you so much Hanne I have been hording them but couldn't resist using this little chap for my card.

This is the sketch we are to use which was great fun so thank you girls. xxx

This is the inside I left a space between my card and paper to put my tag in. I have glimmer misted the grungeboard heart.

I have added liquid pearls on my swirls and distressed my paper with vintage photo the circle I die cut using my nesties.

Magnolia DT Card........................

How gorgeous is this weather! Hope it is shining wherever you are. I have made a card using the new Animal Collection soon to be released by Magnolia. I have coloured my image with distress inks and added stickles to the vine and leaves. The background is distressed with antique linen and mustard seed then edged with spiced marmalade. The flowers and the banana peel are also in the new collection. The paper and embellishments are from the dt kit.

Saturday Challenge this week is the theme In the Jungle so I am entering this card into their challenge.

Magnolia DT Card........................

Hello,

I am posting my first ever DT Magnolia card (yikes). This is one of the new Animals collection soon to be released and I just love them. Tilda is just so sweet and the face of the kitten is adorable. I have coloured my image with distress inks. I have distressed the background with antique linen. The heart and leaves have been quickutzed and sprayed with glimmer mist old lace. The paper and flowers and gorgeous crocheted flower were in my dt kit.

Luca's play was a raving success and he said his lines so clearly and beautifully (Grandma's biased view). Here is a piece of my heart with drooping ears as he just couldn't stay still bribery came into play just to get this shot!

Just Magnolia Challenge....

Hope you are all having a good week. Not long to the weekend now yay!

Today is the start of a brand new challenge at Just Magnolia. This week the challenge is Paper Piecing. I have used basic grey paper for my card and coloured my sweet image with distress inks. I have masked my Tilda and added the fence and grass and little bee behind her. I have also added stickle for some sparkle. I have distressed the background and papers with weathered wood. The Next Level Challenge...........

Hello,

I have made a card today for the new challenge over on The Next Level. I have coloured my image with distress inks. The background has been distressed with antique linen and edged with vintage photo. I have stamped the border stamps with vintage photo.

I have made my flowers by cutting circles out of grungepaper. Then, I have inked this with antique linen, then, sprayed them with olive glimmer mist and stamped swirls with vintage photo. I have also die cut my leaves onto grungepaper and glimmer misted them.

I have used my nesties to die cut the aperture and then the scallop frame.

Just Magnolia Challenge week 8....

Hope everyone is well. I have been having a dreadful few weeks with asthma but now am fully recovered. Today we have a brand new challenge at Just Magnolia. The challenge this week is to make a card using a sketch designed by the fabulously talented Rachel. Thank you so much Rachel I loved using your sketch and will love to use this again.

I have coloured my image with distress inks. For the background I have distressed this with antique linen and broken china. I have added some stickles to the flowers. I have distressed my papers with broken china. I have quickutzed my flowers and have sprayed these with old lace glimmer mist. The punched border is punched using a fiskars punch.

I have been sent two awards from three lovely bloggers. I am so delighted that you have thought of me thank you so very much.

I have used crackle paint on my grungeboard swirl and bazzill heart chip. The flowers have been glimmer misted with silver.
