Marvellous Monday - Motivet dt

Hello,

How was your weekend? Mine was great. The weather was glorious and spent a lovely time in the garden. The birdsong at the moment is beautiful and watching the baby blue tits in the birdbath is just so cute. Poor Phillip is now recovering from his suffering from watching the football and less said about that the better!

I have made a card today with another Motivet image. He is so cute and I have coloured him with distress ink pads. He is stamped with Archival coffee onto Waterford watercolour paper 300gsm hp.  The background is distressed with antique linen. Everything  on my card has been distressed with vintage photo. The stickles are  Star dust and Tiara. The tag has been distressed with vintage photo and sprayed with Iridescent gold glimmer mist. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch.

I thank you so very much for looking and for your visit.

Have a wonderful week!

Motivet DT card......

Hello,

I hope you are all well. I have some very happy news to share. I have been invited to join the Motivet DT and of course I said yes! I am so thrilled to be working with such a talented team of gorgeous girls.  So here is my first Motivet dt card.

I have coloured my image with distress ink pads. Which I stamped with archival coffee onto Waterford 300gsm water colour paper. The background is distressed with one of the new distress ink colours stormy sky and I just love it. The stickles I have used are star dust and tiara. I have distressed everything with walnut stain. The flowers are EK success punched and the leaves are Martha Stewart punched.

I have been given this award by the amazingly, stunningly talented Hanna.

Thank you so much Hanna I am truly thrilled to receive this award from you! I would like to pass this onto everyone who visits my blog as a huge thank you for all your wonderful support. You are all so sweet and lovely!

Well, thank you so very much for looking. I hope like me you are enjoying this amazing summer weather. I am really trying to make the most of it by going in the garden as much as I can. Plus having to make the most of my Grandbabies as school is looming in September. I am so dreading it. Went with Claire to choose Luca's uniform and couldn't stop crying. How embarrassing is that poor Claire but he is still such a baby to me and he looked so darn cute. It was his little knees that did it for me and seeing how proud his little face was!

Thursday Firsts.....

Hello,

I hope you are all well and enjoying great weather. Summer has arrived in my world and it is fabulous!

Well this is my firstest, everist Easel card. It was such great fun to make as I am sure you all know. But, I am so behind the times and thought I would have a bash.

Be prepared for lots of pictures as I was not sure how to photograph one of these Easel thingies. I have stamped my Magnolia image with Versafine black onyx onto Waterford watercolour paper 300gsm. I use used distress ink pads to colour with.

The background is distressed with spun sugar and distressed with walnut stain. I have sprayed the flowers and papers with glimmer mist iridescent gold. These I have distressed with Tim's distressing tool and edged with walnut stain.

I have used  stickle glue in star dust and a new one tiara I have fallen in love with it it is gorgeous! The butterflies are Martha Stewart and the leaves are EK Success. I have 3d the Magnolia heart banner to hold my card up. I have also added liquid pearls here and there.

Well thank you so very much for visiting me, and for all your comments I give you lots of hugs I appreciate your support so much it means the world to me.

Take care.

Quixotic Paperie 1st Anniversary blog hop....

Hello,

Today is the 1st Anniversary of the Quixotic Paperie online store, and they are having a celebratory blog hop!  I have been invited by Elaine to join in as friend of her store.  If you're already following the hop, you should have hopped over here from the incredibly talented  CaroleIf not, then hop back to the beginning at the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog. You won't want to miss a stop, as in addition to lots of fantastic inspiration, there are some prizes on offer (full details on the Quixotic Paperie Blog).

Quixotic Paperie was started on June 1st 2009 by Elaine Hughes.  Having been an avid crafter (and craft shopper!) for a number of years, Elaine wanted to share her passion and see where it might take her - so, Quixotic Paperie was born!  Since then, the store has grown, and now stocks a fabulous range of rubber stamps from around the world!  In addition, the store carries a large range of charms and embellishments, and a host of gorgeous papers for all your crafty projects! If Elaine loves it, you will probably find it at Quixotic Paperie!

In November 2009 the Quixotic Challenges blog was started, where you can find weekly inspiration from the wonderful Quixotic Paperie Design Team, and join in for the chance to win a monthly prize.

Here is my card. I have coloured my image with distress ink pads. The glitter is stickles star dust. I have distressed my edges with walnut stain. The sentiment ticket is Tim Holz. The large stars are quickutz and little ones a punch.

Thank you for joining us on the hop!  Your next stop is the amazingly talented Rosette.
