Sending Hugs.......

Hello,

I hope you are well and for anyone like me who is in the middle of a heat wave hope you are keeping cool! Boy is it hot, hot, hot! 

Not that the weather was remotely like that on our weeks holiday in Cornwall, which we have just returned from.  Rain, rain, rain, but I still feel refreshed and had a lovely break :)

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using Tilda with Ponytail from Magnolia's Sweet Rainbow Collection.

I have coloured Tilda with distress ink pads and cut her out and 3d her onto Magnolia's Recipe Card image. Which I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped and cut out the ribbon label twice and stuck this on top and added star dust stickle glue.

I have decorated the inside too.

Here is the inside left. I have used a Magnolia Doohickey die for the swirl and Quickutz leaf die. The flowers are Prima.

Here is the inside right. I have used Nestie dies for the circles. The corners are stamped with Stempelglede borders.

The word hugs and tiny flowers are Quickutz I have distressed these and everything else on the card with Walnut Stain. The seam binding has been distressed with Weathered Wood and I have added some muslin behind my image.

I will be adding this to my Ebay later today if anyone is interested.

Before I go I want to introduce you to a new member of our family.

Please meet Hettie.

Hettie is 9 weeks tomorrow so going for her first immunisation tomorrow :( I have never owned a kitten before so it is a complete learning curve for me and I love her.

Also, for everyone who is kind enough to ask about my Grandson Luca. He is recovering from his 15th operation yesterday. All went well. He is so completely amazing. He just walks down to theatre and has a chat with the anaesthetist while they are inserting the injection (hand drink) for Luca to be put to sleep. They have never known a child that can do that bless his little heart

The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge - Summer.........

Hello,

Today is the start of another challenge over at TOMIC. The theme this week is Summer.

I have made my card by masking Tilda onto her swimming ring. I have coloured my images with distress ink pads. The circles and sentiment shapes are nestie dies. The border is a Magnolia Doohickey die.

I have decorated the inside too. I have sprayed my whole card lightly with glimmer mist marshmallow. The stickles I have added are platinum and star dust.

The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

Summer Fun.....

I hope you are all well and are enjoying the start to your weekend!

Today I have a card to share with you using one of the new images from the Sweet Rainbow Collection from Magnolia.

I have used Tilda Playing Hopscotch. I have coloured Tilda with distress ink pads. I have distressed the edges with walnut stain and the stickles on the edge are Silver Ice. The border is a Magnolia Doohickey die Old Swedish Lace. The swirl is Heart Swirl Branch. I have used Sweet Rainbow papers 12 x 12 and 6 x 6.

I have also decorated the inside of my card.

Here is the inside left. I have stamped the Magnolia flowers onto bazzill so I have coloured it with Coloursoft pencils. The circles are nesties dies. The stamping around the edges are Stempelglede grunge.

The inside right. The leaves are Doohickey dies. Small flowers ek success.

The stickles I have used on Tilda are star dust and I have used clear glitter sakura pen on the hopscotch markings.

The Official Magnolia Inspiration Challenge - Birthday.........

We the Magnolia Design Team are today very excited, as today is the first day of our very first challenge TOMIC!

We are celebrating a very special birthday. Our very own Magnolia Mummy Pauline's.  Who designs all that is sweet and gorgeous at Magnolia. So, we thought what a great way for our challenge to start off is to have the theme Birthday. 

Here is my card that has been sent to Pauline in Sweden.

I have coloured my image with distress ink pads. The background has been distressed with pumice stone and the edge of this and all my papers have been edged with walnut stain.

I have decorated the inside too.

Here is the inside left. I have used Magnolia's Doohickey dies for the Tag, Butterfly and Lace border. The small flower is an EK Success punch.

Here is the inside right. The large flower and leaves are also Magnolia Doohickey dies.

I have also added stickle glue star dust and lightly sprayed the whole card with glimmer mist.
