Saying Hello.....

I hope that you are all well and enjoying your Summer holidays!

Nearly into August now. Crazy or what!

Here is a card I made which I would like to share with you.

I have coloured my image with Distress Ink Pads onto 300gsm watercolour paper. For a little bit of sparkle I have added some Sakura Star Dust clear pen to her.

I have distressed the edges of this and all my papers with Walnut Stain.

I have added some of that gauzy stuff behind my image that I see on so many blogs. Took me ages to find it and when I did I had to laugh at myself. All it is is bandage. So that's that mystery solved lol!

I have decorated the inside too.

The butterflies I have cut out of a sheet of images from Pion papers. So loved using these beautiful papers.

Here is the inside left.

I have mainly just used the image on the delicious paper and have added a feather with a few flowers and seam binding for depth.

Here is the inside right.

The oval is a nestie and the border dies are Magnolia Doohickeys.

TOMIC Challenge # 8 - Stitching Faux or Real

I hope you are all well. 

Today TOMIC has the start of a new challenge. The theme this week is 'Stitching, Real or Faux'. 

Here is my card.

I have made this card for my daughter Claire. It was her birthday last week. I have added faux stitching to my card by using a guide to make my holes onto my card and then drawing in between each hole.

I have coloured my Magnolia image with distress ink pads onto 300gsm watercolour paper. The die cuts are Magnolia's Doohickey dies. The layers of my card have been 3d with sticky cushions.

I have decorated the inside too.

Here is the inside right.

Again with the faux stitching.

Here is the inside left.

The oval dies are nesties.

I have added some of Magnolia's 6x6 paper to the back of the card.

The stickle glue is Star Dust.

Summer Days......

I hope you have had a good week and are having a great weekend! Crazy that we are in July already! 

Today I have a card to share with you using one of Magnolia's Sweet Rainbow Collection stamps 'Kneeling Tilda'.

I have coloured Tilda with distress ink pads onto 300gsm watercolour paper.

I have distressed the edges of my card with walnut stain. The leaves and butterflies are Martha Stewart punches. I have used Star Dust stickles. The layers on my cards have been 3d with sticky cushions.

I have also decorated the inside of my card.

Here is the inside left of my card. The fence is a Magnolia Doohickey die. The butterfly an Embelliscrap die cut shape.

Here is the inside right. I have embossed some lines inside my card for a message with a Scorpal.

WOYWW - Crafting BFF....

Hello,

I hope you are all well and your week is good!

I just wanted to share my little crafting helper who fell asleep on the job.

My sweet little Hettie just wants to be with me at all times and loves to sit on my desk when I am crafting. Playing with bits of string, ribbon etc., I was looking through my flowers and emptied a basket that I keep some of them in, next minute Hettie jumps in and falls fast asleep.

I thought I would very much like to join in this week's WOYWW with my little crafting buddy.
